WHY INDIA ISN’T RISING: Role of youngsters to hoist India’s stature

Politics is perhaps the backbone of this country, however with mention of the word POLITICS, certainly most of the civilized citizens turn their faces apart, stating politics similar to a garbage bin, that's always stinking. "I hate politics", "Politics is not my cup of tea", "Not interested" etc. are some of the common phrases used by the youngsters, specially engrossed in the social media. But, among these complaining ones perhaps none is ready to clean this filthy place.

It's a harsh reality that India is a first class country with a third class governance and the saddest part is that, the reason behind this condition is we the common people. If we wouldn't have allowed the political class synonymously goons to gut the nation, they would have never dared to do that.

The preamble starts with 'we the people', and the country forms with the same, so the change should also start with us, i.e. the people itself. We often come across a bunch of people making demoralizing comments like, "Nothing can happen to this country and this country will never change", however the truth is that such people are one of the reason why nothing has happened to this country. Changes happen, when we want them to happen, so changes will happen when rather than simply complaining and longing for change, we will make the change and be a part of the change.

We often come across the utterance that, youngsters are the future of this country and thus, the future of India too lies in the hands of the young generation. Sidelining the days of the old politicians seek to work for the country, with barely any days to live. Therefore, the young guns of India will have to shoulder the responsibility towards India’s healthy future. This doesn’t necessarily mean that young people should avocate studies or education and become entrants of politics, but one can always work towards upliftment of country’s political stature in a non-political manner. In the present era a stereotyped, midset has developed that; whoever steps in the political arena, is someone in hunger for power and wealth. According to most people perhaps, politics is for the filthy people, so the good ones should stay away from it. But, we have forgotten that Lal Bahadur Shastri, B.R. Ambedkar, Sardar Patel and the likes of all were politicians and fought elections, but the only difference is, at that time entering politics was termed as patriotism, but today joining politics is longing to gain might. Certainly, time has arrived to change this thought. The young blood can always use their education for a purpose. Political reformation through proper education without being into active politics is of utmost importance and the educated youth perhaps can serve this purpose.

There are three types of people in this world: those who make things happen, those who watch things happen and those who wonder what happened. Things must have to be changed and if not we than who? India's political scenario and the nation will change when the people of the nation will move to the first category and become a change maker, rather than change seeker.
